Lighting
For our project, we're using a combination of low key, high key, and natural lighting. Low key lighting creates dramatic shadows and contrasts, while high key lighting provides bright and evenly illuminated scenes. Natural lighting adds authenticity and a sense of realism to our shots.
The choice of lighting style wasn't solely practical; it's also a deliberate decision to enhance our mise en scène. We're using lighting to reflect the psychology of our characters and to set the mood for each scene. For instance, low key lighting might be used to convey mystery or tension, while high key lighting might be employed for joyful or uplifting moments.
If we had a bigger budget or more access to equipment, we might invest in professional lighting setups to further refine our lighting techniques. This could include using three-point lighting setups for more control over illumination and shadow, allowing us to sculpt the scene more precisely. Additionally, we might explore more advanced lighting effects to create specific atmospheres or visual motifs that align with our narrative themes.
