Rating Former Student Work!! :)

Hello Everyone!! Welcome back my my blog! Today I will be rating and discussing some former student projects!

Roll Call:

The film, in its entirety, proved to be a highly imaginative piece of work. The storyline, had creativity and  held my attention from start to finish. What stood out the most were the specific details infused into the narrative, making the entire cinematic experience truly engaging. On the grading scale, I would confidently place it in the A or B category, due to its overall quality. The strengths of the film were the cast and crew, stellar editing that seamlessly stitched scenes together, amazing locations that added depth to the storytelling, compelling acting performances, and very good directing that guided the narrative. Overall, the film, with its standout attributes and approach to dialogue, successfully created an interesting and successful short film.

New Everything:

The film in question can be characterized as a generally commendable film. The strengths exhibited in the editing and transitions that contributes significantly to the overall film. The seamless flow between scenes and the adept handling of transitions showcase a level of skill. However, while the effort invested in the production is evident, the plot and individual scenes may not stand out. The narrative and specific scenes,  reflect a genuine attempt to engage the audience. The film's strengths lie notably in its editing and smooth transitions, creating a enjoyable viewing experience. On the other hand, weaknesses become apparent in aspects such as the plot, foley sounds, and directing. The plot, while decent, may lack the depth for a more impactful narrative. Additionally, the foley sounds and directing could be improved to enhance the overall  emotional feeling for the audience. To conclude, the film demonstrates a balance of strengths and weaknesses, with accomplishments in certain technical aspects, but areas to work on in the future.

Dreamland:

The film showed to be unique cinematic film. Despite the absence of traditional dialogue, the storytelling was exceptionally conveyed through cinematography, effectively implying the plot with a remarkable visuals. The directing and editing showcased a high level of craftsmanship to create a cohesive and engaging narrative. The overall plot contributed significantly to the film's appeal. However, an area that could benefit from improvement is the foley sounds. While the strengths of the film are greater, the weaknesses still play a part. Addressing and refilming this aspect could further elevate the film's  quality and contribute to a more engaging and detailed film.

Dare to thrill:

This film was a masterpiece from start to finish, standing out as an exceptional and personal favorite. The  plot held an intriguing storyline, that immediately got my attention. The director's vision was present in the seamless transitions, guiding the narrative that heightened the overall cinematic view. The amazing performances from the cast, along with the impressive work of the crew, created energy that brought the story to life in a truly remarkable way. Also, the inclusion of foley sounds added an extra layer of authenticity, entertaining me further into the film. Furthermore, there were no weaknesses in this film, making it a perfect short film. In my opinion, this film deserves nothing less than an A.
