Camera Shots and Angles
Hello again! In this blog post I will be showing five clips of different camera shots and angles. I used five different ones to show a variety of emotion, setting, and stories. Since I am still practicing they may not be perfect BUT that is more than okay! With practice comes perfection :) Enjoy the clips!
In this clip, I was trying to achieve a close-up shot to show the emotion in the eyes.
With this clip, I used an establishing shot. The purpose of this was to show where my setting is and how it looks like. Also, how it affects the other clips and provides a portion of the time it was shot.
In this clip, I used a high angle shot to establish what the actor was doing and for the watcher to get an idea of what might come next.
I liked both your high angle your establishing shot. The angle made you look smaller and less of power. Or, like someone was looking down at you. On other hand, the establishing angle showed how small the garden is compared to the rest of the environment like the school building and the student parking lot.
ReplyDeleteI liked your point of view and Dutch shot. The point of view shot made the viewer feel like they were picking up the plant. In addition, the Dutch shot did show disorientation to the viewer watching the video. Both shots made the viewer feel how the intended shots should make them feel. Especially, the disorientation shot.
ReplyDeleteI liked both your establishing shot and your POV shot. I feel like most people shied away from doing a POV, but you achieved this well by accurately giving the viewers a realistic feel as if we were the subject ourselves. Your establishing shot was very beautiful and captured the environment well, showing the garden and also the parking lot which can be seen in the very far background.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your point of view shot. It showed what the subject was doing in that moment and you did a good job recording it. I also enjoyed your high angle shot. It showed the subjects action in real time and can establish what would have happened next in the short film.
ReplyDeleteHi Isabella, the two shots that I liked the most was the establishing shot and extreme close-up shot. The establishing shot is beautiful, showing off the outside and the nature, like a fresh of breath air. The extreme close-up of eyes was done well, looking into someone's eyes evokes plenty of emotions.
