 Hello everyone! It's been a while, but I am more than happy to come back better than ever! I recently did a sound story and followed that with a foley. In this post, I will describe how it was making it and in the end you can hear my sound story and see my foley!  The editing technique I used was Imovie. I used this mostly because it was free but also because it has a lot of interesting features that are available to use to create interesting and exciting movies, but in this case sound! I learned how to layer sound within the story. Since my story was about going to a movie theatre and watching a movie, I had to find audios that matched the environment and would sound good when layered with other sounds. For example, when walking into the theatre, I had to layer background talking and popcorn making while adding walking sounds on carpet.  However, not everything was easy and simple.  I filmed six videos and put them together with transitions to make three different videos. I hope you enjoy!  In this clip, I used a dissolve transition to show the conversation between the two subjects. It shows the point of view of both of them using an over the shoulder angle.  In this clip, I used a wipe transtion to show a different location. I started in the entryway and shifted to the back door and door to the master bedroom.  In this clip, I used a cut transition to show the after of what my subject was doing. She was doing a handstand and cut to her on the floor since she fell.
